Creusabro® is a line of low alloy rolled steel sheets, tempered in oil, with high resistance to abrasion, erosion and impact.

 

Its main characteristic is the increase in hardness during operation, known as the TRIP Effect (Transformation Induced by Plasticity). Austenite withdraws into a martensitic matrix, being transformed into physical martensite during the working regime.

 

The material leaves the plant with moderate hardness, facilitating the manufacture of parts and equipment and, under working conditions, its hardness increases with the absorption of energy from the processed material.

 

Another characteristic of this material is the homogeneity of the core hardness in relation to the surface and the good performance at higher temperatures (500ºC).

 

With these characteristics, Creusabro® achieves superior performance of between 60 and 200% compared to 360HB materials, and between 50 and 70% compared to 500HB materials. It also has better weldability, without cracking.
