​Material used against wear, composed of Tungsten Carbide particles (hardness of 86 to 93 HRA) of varying sizes, dispersed in a matrix of aerated hard steel (average hardness of 52 to 58 HRC) on a steel base (hardness of 38 to 50 HRC), forming a kind of hard “cushion” of protection against extreme abrasion and high impact.
